  Airsoft Machine Gun

An Airsoft machine gun is an excellent addition to the arsenal of anyone serious about war games. Airsoft machine guns come in a wide variety of styles; some are small enough to be secondary weapons while others are large and powerful enough to be primary weapons. Many have selector switches that allow them to operate as machine guns, sub-machine guns, and even as single shot rifles. Because of the disparity of the sizes of the machine guns, their effective ranges vary widely from as little as seventy feet to well over one hundred and forty feet.

Another factor that helps to determine the velocity, range, and rounds per minute of Airsoft machine guns is the firing mechanism the gun employs. There are a variety of mechanisms by which the Airsoft machine guns can fire. Some have spring firing mechanisms while other machine guns operate on batteries and even compressed gas. Gas guns tend to fire at the most rounds per minute; some are capable of letting loose over eleven hundred rounds per minute.

Electric machine guns also are capable of firing off rounds as quickly as ten hundred rounds per minute. Another important measurement for machine guns is its muzzle velocity; the speed at which the projectile initially travels through the air. Most Airsoft machine guns feature an fps of greater than two hundred and sixty and many of them top the three hundred fps marker. This makes their projectile velocity comparable to, and often faster than, AS hand guns and, at the upper end of the spectrum, makes them comparable to Airsoft tactical assault rifles.

Gas Guns Require the use of some kind of gas propellant (Click Here for Gas Refill Canister). The gas is stored in the gas chamber, usually in the magazine or clip.

"Non-blowback" Gas Guns A non-blowback (NBB), the gas only serves as pushing the bb forward. Also, the slide is in the fixed position.

"Blowback" Gas Guns A blowback (GBB), the gas pushes the slide as well as the bb.

Non-blowbacks are more efficient than blowbacks because they require less gas to push the bbs.
