Airsoft is the hobby of collecting realistic and non-lethal shooting replicas of actual firearms. It started in Japan during the early 1980s. Later the sport of airsoft migrated to countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and the Philippines. In the mid 1990s the sport started appearing in countries like Europe and North America but it is only during the last three years that it started thriving in these places. The applications in the USA include games, film prop use and official police training. I can assure you that airsoft guns look, weigh and functions similar to the actual firearm.
