The Airsoft Desert Eagle is available in both spring firing and electric firing mechanisms. Of the two, the spring firing guns are more powerful while the electric firing guns are able to fire more rapidly. The Desert Eagle can have a muzzle velocity as high as two hundred and forty feet per second (fps). For a hand gun, that is a mighty powerful punch; but that is to be expected of a gun that fires .44 magnum rounds. The gun can sometimes also fire .357 rounds and many models of the Desert Eagle can fire both.
Another thing that makes the Desert Eagle one of the most popular Airsoft handguns is that it can be accessorized to the point where it almost looks like a different gun. It can have a flash light attached, an electronic scope, a laser scope, a silencer and even a tactical forward grip that add an extra handle to the gun, giving it the appearance of a small machine gun. In short, the Desert Eagle is one of the most popular and most versatile Airsoft guns available.
